Public bug reported: I have a Sony Ericsson GC89 EDGE card, its connected to a ricoh cardbus bridge. It works fine in ubuntu 7.10, and all other linux'es. When I installed Ubuntu 8.04, the boot process stopped at the end of the progress bar. When I booted in the recovery mode, the boot process stopped at: "Starting bluetooth...". When I ejected the card and restarted, ubuntu 8.04 starts fine. The card shows up as a: 02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43xG 802.11b/g (rev 03) 02:00.1 Serial controller: Broadcom Corporation EDGE/GPRS data and 802.11b/g combo cardbus [GC89] (rev 03)
when I type the 'lspci command'. If I insert the card when ubuntu 8.04 is running, the card does not get activated. Again, this card works fine in all linux's I have used, including ubuntu 7.10. The card is not a bluetooth card, but a EDGE card. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ubuntu 8.04 won't boot with sony-ericsson GC89 EDGE card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230979 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
