Public bug reported: Hi,
Since 2 days I am getting this error in the dmesg randomly. My system keeps running smoothly, so I guess it could be a software bug. Running Gutsy 64 bit with 2.6.22-14-server kernel. Harddisks are in software raid1. Here is my dmesg output: [12222.277796] ata1.00: exception Emask 0x50 SAct 0x1 SErr 0x680900 action 0x6 frozen [12222.277805] ata1.00: (irq_stat 0x08000000, interface fatal error) [12222.277813] ata1.00: cmd 60/00:00:01:8a:f2/02:00:0b:00:00/40 tag 0 cdb 0x0 data 262144 in [12222.277814] res 40/00:04:01:8a:f2/00:00:0b:00:00/40 Emask 0x50 (ATA bus error) [12222.277821] ata1: hard resetting port [12222.457075] ata1: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) [12222.465082] ata1.00: configured for UDMA/133 [12222.465090] ata1: EH complete [12222.465572] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] 781422768 512-byte hardware sectors (400088 MB) [12222.465582] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off [12222.465585] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 00 3a 00 00 [12222.465595] sd 0:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ata1: hard resetting port https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230999 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
