Public bug reported: This is a bug in the "Network Settings" GUI in Ubuntu 8.04.
This applies to the "DNS" tab on the "Network Settings" dialog: UBUNTU VERSION: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 BUG DESCRIPTION: if a DNS server IP address or a search domain is being edited (or is selected for editing with the text cursor flashing in it) and you click the "+ Add" button, the item you are currently editing will be replaced by the new entry. DESIRED BEHAVIOR: When a field in the either list is being edited, clicking the add button should close the current item *AND* add a new one (perhaps unless the current item isn't valid). The same bug applies to the "Search Domains" list This is a look and feel issue, but is very unintuitive. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Network Settings GUI] "DNS Server" and "Search Domains" Add buttons overwrite item currently being edited https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231192 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
