Public bug reported: Binary package hint: vlc
Running Hardy with VLC out of the repositories. If I right click on an ISO DVD file and select play with VLC, VLC opens up and starts playing back titile 1 of the DVD without audio and also doesn't recognize the fact that it is a DVD, i.e. there is no menu buttons in the lower right corner of the GUI and the navigation menu doesn't reflect that there are other titles and chapters. If I use the terminal on the same ISO DVD files and run "vlc filename.iso" it works perfectly, VLC opens up and goes to the root menu. This is how VLC always worked before in Feisty and Gutsy. Same thing if I open VLC from the Gnome menu, then drag over a ISO DVD file, it works fine. The problem is only when using the Nautilus right click menu, or if I choose to make VLC the default for ISO files, double clicking on ISOs produces the same problem. ** Affects: vlc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- VLC problem with ISO DVD Files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/231282 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
