Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

Recently, presentation mode in evince has stopped working for me.
Tried on a number of PDF files from http://xxx.lanl.gov/list/astro-ph/new

a) clicking on View/Presentation just hangs evince, CPU is not high, but
nothing happens
the View menu continues to be visible, but evince becomes totally unresponsive.

b) Pressing F5 results in a long delay and eventually a full screen window
appears, but it
is just shades of gray with no text visible. It is also unresponsive. In this
case, the following
error message appears in the shell window where I ran evince:

(evince:15105): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous
GError or uninitialized memory. This indicates a bug in someone's
code. You must ensure an error is NULL before it's set. The
overwriting error message was: Did not receive a reply. Possible
causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the
message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout
expired, or the network connection was broken.

** (evince:15105): WARNING **: Problem inhibiting the screensaver: Did
not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application
did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the
reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was
broken.
