My applications list is populated, but it's effects are from from perfect.
I'm running ubuntu with the kde-desktop package, currently using kde. For torrent files, there are options for transmission (default) and ktorrent in the applications tab. Still, the open file dialog that appears if I set it to always ask only gives me to options: save or cancel. Removing the mimetypes.rdf file only resulted in several file types - including torrent files - disappearing from the list with no way to add them, as the open file dialog for them still contained only save and cancel.
