Hi
The last time I tried to install ubuntu from the livecd I've been waiting 1 minute, but nothing happened... So I did a restart and booted into windows again. I will do further tests about the problem. Maybe I have to turn off advanced bios options like C1E, Hyperpath3 etc. It could maybe be a problem with the 'irqpoll'-option, but without it the alternate- and the live-cd won't start. I tried various irq/pci(-e)/plug-and-play os-options in bios, but it doesn't matter. The alternate-cd doesn't work either. It just stops installing in the 2nd part of the setup (after calculating about 500-600 dependencies). It doesn't have anything to do with overclocking. I tried to install ubuntu with standard settings but it hanged at 31% when installing. I just want a working ubuntu installation on my new pc. (btw. I've tried opensuse 10.2alpha2, but it doesn't even recognize my hdds.) regards Dennis -- system pauses https://launchpad.net/bugs/64474 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
