Public bug reported: After recent standard upgrades for ubuntu a previously working system lost the audio device. No other changes were apparent and when I boot the previous linux image (ESC at boot) at the boot screen the audio returns. I noted that after the update the boot image was the -386 version and previously it was the -generic.
Work around has been to change the default boot option to the previous image but not sure what this might mean for future updates. NB All the usual and expected headers, modules etc appear to be installed. Plenty of similar type of bugs reported at times for other kernels but haven't seen conclusive solutions. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Intel 82801G ICH7 - lost after updates https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/232154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
