Public bug reported:
There is a problem with text rendering on my Hardy install-- sometimes,
the background is either too-dark or completely dark; making the text
look like a line of rectangles. In the screenshot, you can see a minor
problem (the words "Save Screenshot" in the box switcher) and two major
problems: text rendering in Firefox (the huuuuuge black boxes) and the
text in the Monitor Resolution Settings app. I think the problem might
be with transparent text specifically.
I'm using Hardy Heron on a Dell D630 laptop. The gfx chipset is "Mobile
GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller". Problem happens using both
Compiz and Metacity.
