I have to correct myself: It's a BenQ DW1650, the Plextor's real name is PX-W2410TA.
It seems to me as if my box was affected by both Bug #182996 and this one here, because the Plextor drive is now working. To summarize my findings: Plextor alone either as SLave or MAster: ok. BenQ alone as MA: problem. BenQ alone as SL: ok. I hope that means something to someone ;)!
