It is getting wired. Two days ago everything suddenly worked (on Dapper AND Edgy)?!? I was about to post that, but since yesterday it fails again (on Edgy and Dapper!) but with a different message: "... localhost: read faild (15)." Exactly the same thing as mentioned in the message from the KDE bugtracker linked above.
