the gnome-panel places menu also lists the CF256 removable device which is a Compact Flash 256MB (surprise, surprise) either in the CF slot on my Thinkpad or in a USB card reader (depending on circumstances). I've seen this with my Digicam as well and all kinds of other removable devices, including sshfs mounts, etc. I don't think the type of media has much relevance here. I am not surprised it is listed in "Places" since all accessible drives are listed there AFAIK.
gvfs-bin package was up until now not installed. I attach the requested output. ** Attachment added: "gvfs.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/14769194/gvfs.txt -- unmounted volumes still show in nautilus tree https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/235495 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
