I have made some investigations on the problem and discovered the following: the text that appears in the konsole, is an cp1251 (windows) one, recoded in dos-866, and then displayed in utf8.
So the solution would be to somehow prevent recoding while piping the backend output, and recode with the means of the program (some options for that should be made available).
