I would report the same problem that Brian had describe above. I'm running ubuntu 8.04 kernel 2.6.24-17-386 on the HP dv6163ea and the system can't find the integrated webcam (model 05ca:1870). I installed Arakne drivers but when i use the cam in skype the colours are completely wrong (the images looks like a temperature map). The problem is sorted if I open aMSN and I follow the webcam installation in amsn, but then video is very slow and most of the time just a picture.
