Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I'm using FF3 RC1.

If you drag an URL or other text to the favicon in the URL bar, it goes
to that address or performs a search, depending on which type of text
you dragged.

This is the feature I would like: if you're keeping the alt key pressed
while dropping the text into the favicon, open it in a new tab. This
would be handy because sometimes I see URLs which are not clickable, and
I have to select them, press ctrl+t to open a new tab, go back to the
old tab and drag the selected text to the new tab.

Would that be possible?

** Affects: firefox-3.0 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
