Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pkg-create-dbgsym
I was trying to follow the steps on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingNetworkManager where it says to install the libglib2.0-0-dbgsym package. When installing, apt-get says that the package has unmet dependencies. $ sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-0-dbgsym Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that the package is simply not installable and a bug report against that package should be filed. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: libglib2.0-0-dbgsym: Depends: libglib2.0-0 (= 2.16.3-1) but 2.16.3-1ubuntu2 is to be installed E: Broken packages $ apt-cache policy libglib2.0-0 libglib2.0-0: Installed: 2.16.3-1ubuntu2 Candidate: 2.16.3-1ubuntu2 Version table: *** 2.16.3-1ubuntu2 0 500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com hardy-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.16.3-1 0 500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages ** Affects: pkg-create-dbgsym (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- libglib2.0-0-dbgsym has incorrect dependencies https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236439 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
