1. Open Nautilus 2. Insert CF card, watch it show up in the window portion labeled "Tree" 3. Right-Click on the CF card in Tree, choose "Unmount volume" 4. This does not have to be a Compact Flash card, I believe, but occurs with other mountpoints, as well IIRC.
