Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lirc
Selecting the 'Iguanaworks USB IR Transceiver' driver from the lirc setup causes lirc to fail. The driver is listed. I can load other drivers (including other USB drivers) without a problem, it's just this one. Beyond the initial install / setup (and it's failure) here's what I've done to re-create the problem: sudo dpkg-reconfigure lirc -->Iguanaworks USB IR Transceiver -->None According to their website here: http://iguanaworks.net/projects/IguanaIR/wiki/GettingStarted#Step3:InstallingandTestingLIRC their driver should be listed as a 'userspace' driver using this command: lircd -H ? It's not listed there under the 0.8.3pre1 install of lirc. This was on a mythbuntu 8.04 64-bit clean install. ** Affects: lirc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- lirc: iguanaworks USB IR transceiver driver missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
