This is because you did not have the corresponding linux-ubuntu-modules. Sorry for the hassle. > Is it safe to just do sudo apt-get --purge remove linux- > image-2.6.24-19-generic linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-19-generic linux- > restricted-modules-2.6.24-19-generic ? Yes. Your system should boot into -18 again by default (you can select this in the boot manager). Please note that you can only do the above if you are not actually *running* this kernel at the moment. Otherwise you'll get a big fat warning (which you can override, though). > Should I also delete timg-tpi-ppa.list from /etc/apt/sources.list.d to > avoid the above items being reinstalled with the update? Yes, please do so. The official -19 kernel has been uploaded to hardy-proposed now. The corresponding linux-ubuntu and linux-restricted-modules should be available by the end of the day. Testing that kernel would be great, it should fix the suspend issue without breaking wifi, etc. -- Kernel 2.6.24-17 - broken resume from suspend to RAM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/226279 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
