*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 64264 *** I've marked this as a dup now, since this behaviour was caused by a bug in gnome-menus (also now with patch). The above patch works because I changed the semantics of a drag-and-drop to perform a "move" operation, which doesn't create any new .desktop files. The "copy" operation was broken because of the gnome-menus bug. Travis has indicated that he wants to keep drag-and-drop performing a "copy".
