Sunalei, Are you able to reproduce this in Ubuntu 8.04? If the problem persists, can you please run the install again and attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman following the instructions in http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingUbiquity/AttachingLogs ?
