To reproduce the crash. 1. play a video larger (e.g. 1280x720) than the screen size (1024x768) using default video renderer (xvideo I suppose) 2. play another video using default video renderer -> crash of xserver, back to login-screen My setup: Thinkpad x60 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) Using internal LCD at 1024x768 and external Display at 1024x768.
