Public bug reported: Binary package hint: eog
eog obviously starts up with about 80% of screen width. If the screen is e.g. 3840 x 1024, eog starts with 2880x2065+480+46 which is really annoying as one has to move and resize the window (not necessarily the shown image) a few times to completely fit into the visible screen. I propose two solutions: a) keep last window position in mind an re-use it on startup b) calculate on base of the screen height, not the screen width anyway, thanks for providing this software ;) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Thu Jun 12 12:36:53 2008 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/eog NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: eog 2.22.2-0ubuntu1 PackageArchitecture: i386 ProcEnviron: PATH=/home/User Name/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: eog Uname: Linux 2.6.24-16-generic i686 ** Affects: eog (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug -- eog initial size on triple head configuration https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/239420 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
