Dear Mr De Vuyst

sorry for not responding , but due to a system hardware crash of my
laptop ( toshiba Satellite L40 ) i lost your address.
In the mean time everything became OK thue to the new kernels:
for ubuntu 7.10
        kernel 2.6.15 mouse OK
        kernel 2.6.17 mouse blocks
for Suse 10.0
        kernel 2.6.13 mouse OK
        kernel 2.6.17 mouse blocks
for Suse 10.1
        kernel 2.6.16 mouse blocks

I use on two different toshiba's now :
1.Toshiba L20
        Ubuntu 7.10 kernel2.6.22.14-generic mouse OK
2.Toshiba L40
Ubuntu 8.04 latest kernel mouse OK

So I have no further problems

Thank you very much and sorry for the delay

Frank Duron
