Can you do a cat /etc/hosts and see what IP your hostname is set to
please? Usually when I see "unable to resolve..." when a login is done
or an apt-get (before it tries to reach the repository) I think that the
hostname of the machine doesn't match the IP "127.0.1.1"...

Your hosts file should begin something like this

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.1.1 jupiter

Where "jupiter" is your hostname should be... If the IP address is
different that could be the problem

Please report back?

Thanks,

Richard Seguin
