Public bug reported: Binary package hint: file-roller
Opening a HTML document within an archive that contains a space in its name results in Thunderbird being launched instead of Firefox. This is using version 2.22.3 of File Roller and Ubuntu 8.04. I've had this bug for ages but I've finally decided to report it to see if it is just me or a more widespread problem. This happens regardless of if the file has the htm or html extension. It behaves correctly if the HTML file has no spaces. Steps to reproduce: 1) Download the attached archive. 2) Double click on "Test Page.htm" or "Test Page.html" within the archive. Expected to happen: Firefox to launch or the page to open in an existing Firefox window as a tab. What happened: Thunderbird is launched with a big blank space where there should be Thunderbird tasks page. If Thunderbird is active nothing happens at all. ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- File roller launches wrong program to handle some HTML files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240308 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
