thanks for your report, however you should report one issue per report not three, most of that are a gstreamer issue rather than totem. May you tell us how to reproduce the last one? i'm not able to do it, the keyboard shortcuts works as expected here, for the other issues please fil another report for each. thanks.
** Changed in: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low Assignee: (unassigned) => Ubuntu Desktop Bugs (desktop-bugs) Status: New => Incomplete ** Description changed: Binary package hint: totem - TRANSPORT CONTROLS USELESS:: - upon playing one single song in totem, there is no possibility to rewind to start, except for the seek-bar. - that means the transport controls are useless and only pause play will work. - - USAGE OF SEEK-BAR FREEZES PLAYBACK:: - even the seek bar itself causes totem to freeze playback, if used to rapidly over the mouse wheel. - this happens to me with movies and music alike, whether mp3, .wav or whatever other format i tried. - - SIDEBAR PROBLEMS:: whenever the sidebar is open with the playlist, keyboard shortcuts will not work, because the playlist quick textsearch will grab all input from the keyboard - - let's face it: - to make totem the main media player for the Gnome Desktop Environment is a very shaky move. - As long as seeking freezes playback, and the transport controls are disabled for 1-item-only playlists, totem is but a graphical frontend for simple playback with no proper interface. - seeking with the mousewheel is a beautiful idea, shortcuts are also good, but only if they work.
