Hey, I'm using Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, always updated. Pulse broke down a week or so ago here. Don't know if it was because of any updates, but today, after an update and only after sudo rm -rf /tmp/* and a reboot, it all came back alive. Pulse back online. See if it helps you guys.
