The nm-applet does not show any AP, and there's 7 around here...

I'm newbee in Linux and read all things here. But I don't know how to
fix this.

If I ask for connect to another wireless net (left click over nm-applet
as it shows no option under wireless network), I can type a valid one
and use it fine.

My configuration:
Ubuntu Hardy
kernel 2.6.24-19-generic

** Attachment added: "left click over nm-applet with no wireless network
showing (there are 7 AP around here, as I could see in a WinXP notebook near
me)"
