Public bug reported: * Move a folder or file that starts with a dot (ie hidden file) into the trash. * Open the trash * The trash looks empty. * The 'Empty Trash' button is active, but it's easy to miss
This happened to me today when using Baobab Disk Usage Checker. I moved my (large) .wine folder to the trash, but when I opened the trash it looked empty. I was confused and couldn't figure out how to reclaim the space. I suggest that whenever you open the trash window/folder, it should start with 'show hidden files' checked. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gnome Trash should always show hidden (.dot) files and folders https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/241254 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
