By now I've found that if I get the latest madwifi from its subversion repository, compile it and then compile wpa_supplicant agains that, it all works fine. However I must do that for each new kernel upgrade. I will post my syslog on the first kernel upgrade when my wifi stops working (before i do the recompiles). Thanks Harel
