It appears this bug is NOT invalid. kvm as shipped with hardy does not open qcow files (plain qcow files, qcow2 files work fine). see debian bug report http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=470664
Unless there's an update I'm missing (quite possibly), this means people with existing qcow libraries can't use kvm on hardy without compiling kvm on thier own, or converting thier entire library of images to qcow2 (or some other format), which is a non-starter for some people who have tools that rely on qcow files. I'm always queasy about changing status on bugs that I neither reported nor worked on, so I'll leave the status for someone else to change now. -- kvm - qemu: could not open disk image https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217240 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
