I suspect that this bug report is being used for more than one bug. Debian closed debbugs #481745, which identified one of these issues (in relation to Java and perhaps other packages), however other issues remain -- and are still present in intrepid.
In contacting upstream, they are aware of numerous problems similar to this one, which I gather is due to a deficiency in the design of the current Xlib / XCB interactions; they are in the process of re- architecting this code and will have it in the next release of Xlib/XCB. The plan for Hardy is, if someone can validate the libx11~noxcb package above, to turn off XCB. For Intrepid hopefully this new Xlib/XCB will resolve the issues so we can continue shipping it; I'm re-opening the intrepid task for this work. ** Changed in: libxcb (Ubuntu Intrepid) Status: Fix Released => Triaged -- hardy, locking assertion failure, xorg/libsdl https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/185311 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
