Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mono-runtime

Following the instructions here:
http://evemon.battleclinic.com:8000/trac/wiki/MonoBuildOnUbuntu7.10

When I tried installing mono by "sudo apt-get mono,", I got the
following error:

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package mono is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package mono has no installation candidate

I've been told that the package is now called "mono-runtime" in Ubuntu
8.04, but there should also be a transitional package between mono and
mono-runtime.

** Affects: mono (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
