Hello i have the same problem. I have had the same problem updating from ubuntu 7.04 to 8.04.(sis900) Have read some bug report and found that bug 48263 is quite similar to the problem I experience. But instead of mouse freezing, my keyboard repeat a key 12-15 times every minute or so. the last kernel i know work is 2.6.22-15.54-generic
