As mentionned in one of my posts, I tested both 1.1.7 and 1.1.8 from a Debian repository on my Xubuntu 8.04 box and that did not solve the issue. Has anyone else tested that ? In my opinion, the only escape so far is to install either 1.1.2 or 1.1.6-1ubuntu3 from gutsy, both from Ubuntu repositories.
