Yes it solved after uninstall and reinstall firefox 3. Please see: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=767012 for uninstalling firefox 3 completely in ubuntu 8.04 (I saved the page and attach here, please open it).
To reinstall firefox 3, choose firefox 3 in "Add/Remove Aplication" window.
