Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic

My T60 used to suspend quite fine with Dapper (at least when on
battery). After an upgrade to Edgy, it does not suspend at all. The moon
LED does not even start to blink when choosing "Suspend" from gpm or
when closing the lid (where suspend is the action configured for this
event). Instead the screen is blanked and the password box pops up
asking for my password. I have tried adding/removing combinations of
acpi_sleep=s3_bios,s3_mode to the kernel command line without success.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
