With the latest updates, the segfault doesn't happen anymore. Still, evince uses a whole processor core for say half a minute on this Pendium 4, 1GB RAM computer. It uses 255 mib of memory after opening the document (system monitor) and 480mib when generating the print preview and afterthat. An "empty" evince (no documents open) uses 10 mib of memory on my computer.
