Same problem here: I have a dell Latitude D630, on which I upgraded from gutsy to hardy. The keyboard mapping is the french variant of the latitude keyboard (this is set via system/preferences/keyboard). After every reboot or wakeup, I get something completely different (I haven't been able to identify the actual keymap) from the french keyboard, and I have to go back to System/Preferences/Keyboard, click on "dell latitude" (which is already selected), then "OK", and it's back to normal...
