I have the same problem mixing v4l-dvb-experimental with the svn version of uvcvideo. I got around it by forcing the module:
sudo modprobe -f uvcvideo The module loaded and the camera works. Not a good solution but gets me working. Does anyone know how I set the module to load automatically by being forced.
