I use an Emperor Linux Tarantula laptop, (the hardware is a Panasonic Toughbook CF-30), running the Emperor Linux customized version of Kubuntu 7.10. Linux provides "WINE" to support running software which was intended to run on Windows, and in my case, I'm using the default install of WINE on Kubuntu 7.10.
I have successfully installed and run Gridpoint Atlas(TM) 3.5 on this configuration, at least in so far as using the software to generate and display Grid Maps on the screen. I can take screen captures into graphics files which Linux can print, though I've not yet successfully printed directly from Gridpoint Atlas(TM) 3.5. There are occasional display glitches, which are fixed by merely scrolling the map. Some of the help functions presume Internet Explorer, and those have some problems, but the provided manuals are of course viewable in Open Office. It ain't perfect, but it's highly usable, and I'm happy with it. -- Error Number 0x80040707 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/177079 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
