** Description changed: Failure in installing 6.10 RC on boot. x386 CD boots and goes along - without issue. Gets to the GDM Login screen (I'm assuming this is what - it is going to when you go in the first time via the CD/Live CD) and the - screen goes blank/black. I can still use my keyboard and hear stuff in - the background. Just can't see anything, any longer. This occurs on the - regular boot in and the 2nd graphics option. + without issue with the new Ubuntu boot splash. Gets to the GDM Login + screen (actually, it probably just goes straight in to the Live Desktop) + and the screen goes blank/black, after the standard white cursor flash + for a few moments. IThis occurs on the regular boot in and the Safe + Graphics mode option. Using F4 VGA options doesn't solve the issue. I'm using an ATI Radeon 9200 SE card, Compaq P1100 21' monitor and AMD - K8V SE Deluxe mobo, 512mb RAM. + K8V SE Deluxe mobo, 512mb RAM.
