This feature (storing encrypted passwords) is available in subversion latest trunk (31970) which will be released in the future (may be 1.6.0?). It is a huge feature which was added, and I don't think there is any proposal for backporting this to 1.4.x branch since there are quite a lot of API changes which had gone in.
To give a gist of this feature in latest trunk, we have support of storing encrypted passwords in gnome-keyring and kwallet. If subversion is not compiled with any of these options, then user will be prompted before storing the passwords in plaintext. -- Subversion command-line client, version 1.4.3. stores passwords in plain text https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220688 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
