Hi there.

I have the same problem with png images.

I've downloaded the file PNG_transparency_demonstration_1.png and when I
try to open it I get the same security message as follows :

``The filename "PNG_transparency_demonstration_1.png" indicates that
this file is of type "png document". The contents of the file indicate
that the file is of type "PNG image". If you open this file, the file
might present a security risk to your system``

It seems this problem has something to do with the shared-mime-info package.
I have found a similar bug here :

I have Ubuntu 6.06 Dapper Drake
shared-mime-info version 0.17-0ubuntu11
