Public bug reported: Binary package hint: unattended-upgrades
In some cases, unattended-upgrades will not execute all available upgrades (e.g. if apt holds back a package due to some other package needing to be installed additionally). Unfortunately, neither the *.log files nor the status mail of unattended-upgrades contains any information about this - you have to log in on the workstation in question and run "apt-get upgrade" manually to get this information. It would be great if unattended-upgrades could supply this information itself (especially in the mail) - that way keeping an eye on what's going on is a lot easier for an admin with several of these workstations. ** Affects: unattended-upgrades (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Make log/status mail contain info about "kept back" packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245422 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
