Broadly, you should look at upgrading the firmware (I don't know how, google
it again!), and/or using ndiswrapper.

Things like wireless often work better in Windows, since the manufacturers
make their own drivers for Windows. Linux drivers are sometimes
reverse-engineered, which is never an easy business.
