We haven't yet located the source of the problem, just the symptoms. It might be a bug, but then, a bug of what package? The problem is also that there are no error messages to point us in the right direction, just a very slow system. I'm afraid I cannot think of any other questions to ask you at the moment. I'm leaving this report open. Thank you for your efforts so far in trying to triage this bug...
