Tormod, thanks for the information about PPA. I have downloaded xscreensaver packages but couldn't get it to run properly on Hardy - they require libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.13.3), in Hardy it is 2.12.9-3ubuntu4. Anyway I've installed them with dpkg --force-all but the xscreensaver could not even lock the screen, X started to use 100% CPU and screen is not locked.
