Public bug reported:
I have an IBM Thinkpad X40 and when I am running on AC and unlock the display,
the brightness indicator "window" (that is supposed to appear when you change
brightness) appears and it scrolls down to zero and the display dims.
I have the Power preferences set to run it at 85% brightness when on AC power.
** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu)
